As a Tarot reader and spiritual advisor, I often get questions about other people.

When will he come back? Does he love me? How does the woman in my office feel about me?

I work really hard to turn those questions around for my clients. The only people we can change are ourselves. Instead of asking, “Does he love me,” we can ask, “What can I do to attract the relationship I want?” Now we can actually do something about the situation! We can’t do anything about how other people act, but we can take action in our own lives!

I did a reading today that hits on this topic. I want to share about in a general way, because it really galvanizes my higher purpose. I want to help people become empowered. To turn situations around. To get back in the driver’s seat.

In this reading, a woman called. Her ex was now with another partner and he wasn’t helping financially or spending time with the children.

She wanted to know if I could feel her former partner’s energy. She asked if I could tell what her former partner’s intentions were. I said, well, if you want to know what someone else is planning, you have to ask! I pulled three cards for her: The Ace of Wands, the Ace of Swords, and the Page of Swords. Yep. Time to communicate powerfully, clearly, and concisely. Time to say what you need, and get a timeline.

She didn’t like that answer, and told me so, and hung up.

Now, this would not happen with one of my usual clients, but I’ve been dabbling in psychic reading phone lines. I read on a few networks, mainly to get a sense of what it’s like for clients using these services.

The way these websites work is that people pay for minutes. In some cases, it’s only two or three minutes. They can pay for more minutes as you go, which is distracting. There’s a computer voice that cuts in. It’s generally inexpensive, but, to get a good reading, you’d need to pay for more than a few minutes. It’s a boiler room of stress for all involved. And, there are hundreds of people out there calling in to those lines, desperate for help.

My calling is to help you find the answers you need. No one else can tell you what you need, but we can guide. That’s why I call my site a Guided Journey. It’s really important to me to create connections. It’s really important to give you all the time you need to manifest positive, self-affirming energy. It’s my mission.

It’s not an easy answer, and it takes work! But, true self-knowledge takes work. It takes honesty, and being ready to take responsibility for change, and for decisions. How can we stop blaming others? How can we heal from the past, acknowledge hurts, and then move forward completely in charge of our destiny?

This is the gift that Tarot can give. It’s like slow food! Slow fashion! This is quality, and in the end, it is a much better investment.
